Betty Lou Baker
Apr 16, 2018Betty was born February 12, 1943, in Sand Fork, WV (Gilmer County) a daughter of the late Oda and Eva (Casto) Collins. She spent her life as a loving and devoted homemaker for her family. Betty always put the needs of others ahead of her own and she was always willing to help any way that she could. Betty also worked as a waitress in Ritchie County and in the deli of the Pennsboro IGA for a short time. She was a member of the Little Beason United Methodist Church and she greatly enjoyed gardening and cooking.She is survived by her children, Donna Hiley (Stephen) of Pennsboro, WV; Lisa Smith (Richard) of Glendale Community in Ritchie County, WV and Kevin Baker (Elizabeth Combs) Pennsboro, WV (Little Beason Community); grandchildren, Brooke & Storm Hiley; Michaela & Shelby Smith; Kelsie Combs; brother, Lewis Collins and her sister, Ruby Carson.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edgel K. Baker in 2012; brothers, Cecil, Clifford, Guy, & Gabe Collins and sisters, Nora & Ruth Tomblin.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018, at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, WV. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery near Pullman, WV.
